There is no big secret on how to teach your children healthy exercise habits. You only have to get out of the way of their natural inclination to burn copious amounts of energy playing.

There are two main classes of impediments to your children being able to play as children were designed to:

1) Electronic games, television, and computers and,
2) Your reluctance to allow them to do so.

Let’s examine both of these obstacles to your children’s health and well being.

Television And Computer Hazards

There are 41 studies showing a relationship between television viewing and an unhealthy body mass index listed on the Center of Weight and Health website from the college of Natural Resources School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley.

These studies are a real eye opener!

Joey Shulman, DC, RNCP points out in an article on children’s television viewing habits that the Department Of Education found children in the U.S. watch television from three to five hours per day. That’s valuable time they could be outside playing.

But television is so educational for the children, right?

Wrong.

Healy reports that children do not learn from Sesame Street.

She elaborates on the reasons why learning does not occur in the chapter entitled, “Sesame Street and the Death of Reading” found in her book, Endangered Minds. It may do you well to get her book and acquire a full understanding of the dynamics of television viewing and its effects on your child.

Television Is Detrimental To Health

Encouraging children to watch television, use the computer, or play video games instead of participating in more wholesome and beneficial activities is your choice as an adult. You may be unknowingly encouraging them to be sedentary by supplying these electronic appliances and games instead of encouraging your children to use their imagination while playing at physically demanding activities.

In adults, it was found that the more time wasted watching television, videos, or using a computer led to an increased incidence of them suffering from metabolic syndrome.

Metabolic syndrome is characterized by insulin resistance, hypertension (high blood pressure), abnormal blood clotting, high triglycerides, and elevated LDL levels (bad cholesterol) accompanied by low HDL levels (good cholesterol).

Your television and computer really are killing you!

The researchers surmised that if the adults in this study had turned off the TV or computer, and spent that time doing physical activities, the prevalence of metabolic syndrome would decrease.

Health hindering situations such as these plague children who lead sedentary lifestyles.

For example, one study found that the rapid growth found in early childhood is slowed if physical activity is restricted.

Other researchers found that preschool girls who watched large amounts of television had lower bone density.

That’s in preschool girls!

We’re not talking about post-menopausal women having their bones soften. This occurs in young girls.

What will happen to these girls when they get older?

Exercise Benefits

The Centers for Disease Control outlined the benefits of regular physical activity for children.

Those benefits include:

1) Builds healthy bones, muscles, and joints.
2) Improves strength and physical endurance.
3) Helps control weight, builds lean muscle mass, and reduces body fat.
4) Improves cholesterol levels.
5) Improves blood pressure levels.
6) Reduces anxiety and stress.
7) Increases energy levels.
Promotes overall health.

If there are so many detrimental aspects to television viewing, especially for children, are you asking yourself why your kids are still allowed, and maybe even encouraged, to watch TV or play video games?

Encourage Outdoor Playing

There is only so much free time in a day for children to play outside. It is imperative they use that limited time for constructive activity.

In other words, it may not be what the children are doing (watching television or playing games on the computer) but rather, what they are not doing. There is not enough time in a day to watch TV for hours then play outside.

It must be one or the other.

Nearly half the adolescents aged 12 to 21 years old do not have vigorous exercise on a regular basis.

In one study vigorous exercise was defined as performing twenty minutes of exercise three times a week. It’s really sad when young people aren’t getting even this small amount of activity.

Make Exercise A Fun Family Activity

The most successful way to make healthful changes in your family’s activity levels is to make it fun.

Going to the gym is not fun. Kids won’t do it. Heck, most adults won’t do it for the long term. Just witness the huge rise in enrollment at gyms after the New Year and the lack of bodies in those gyms during March.

So what you should do is establish “life long” activities with your family.

Children can play soccer, softball, baseball, football, track, etc. but parents need a sport the family can do together at any age.

All members of the family can enjoy lifetime physical activities such as dancing, walking, hiking, swimming, or bicycling. Remember, the idea is fun, not exercise. The exercise comes along with the fun.

After everyone becomes a little more capable of participating in physical endeavors you can try more vigorous activities such as skiing, skating, jogging, strength training, or brisk hiking in rough country.

If the kids want to start an energetic sport Mom and Dad might not be able to physically perform let them do it. Mom and Dad can cheer from the sidelines.

Obesity, the condition where there is a considerable increase in the body mass index, is now proving to be really deadly. Obesity is in fact, one of those preventable problems which are claiming lives in great numbers all over the world. Since excessive body weight is associated with many problems in almost all parts and systems of the body, an aggravated condition of obesity can make it even deadlier for the obese.

Obesity affects various systems in the human body when in an aggravated condition. Adverse effects of obesity can be seen in humans. The following are:

Cardiovascular Problems:

Since there is a direct link between the accumulation of fat in the body and the blood and heart systems, various problems can be created. High blood pressure is one of commonest problems, usually caused by obesity. High cholesterol and atherosclerosis (blockage of the arteries) are some other commonly seen problems in obese people. Also, due to inflammation of arteries, the blood supply to the heart may also be reduced thereby creating a greater risk of heart failure. In fact, more than 12% of congestive heart failure cases are caused due to obesity.

Endocrine and Reproductive Problems:
The presence of extra fat in the body also hampers the production of many hormones. This happens due to presence of cells which impair the production of some hormones. Since the abdominal fat present in the patient impairs the production of insulin digesting cells, it is said to cause Diabetes mellitus type 2. Also, other problems like polycystic ovarian syndrome, menstrual disorders, infertility, etc. are known to occur in the reproductive system. Even in pregnancy, complications may occur which may also lead to birth defects in the baby.

Cancer:
Medical researchers have not been able to pinpoint the exact cause of this finding but it has already been established that being obese increases the risk of cancer to a great extent, especially in women. Chances of developing colon cancer, including other types of cancers like breast cancer, oesophageal cancer, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, gall bladder cancer, etc are also found to be common in obese women. In addition, one can develop stomach, prostate gland, endometrial, ovarian or cancer of the cervix. Obese people need to take special care of their kidneys.

Neurological Problems:
Neurological problems are not a direct effect of increased body fat. Since obesity can cause problems like hypertension and diabetes which reduce the blood flow to the heart and the brain, there are various problems that may occur. Strokes may also occur due to lower blood flow to the brain, potentially causing impairment. Due to improper functioning of the brain, other problems like dementia, headache, meralgia paresthetica (pain in outer thigh due to injury to nerve), carpal tunnel syndrome and idiopathic intracranial hypertension can also crop up.

Musculoskeletal Problems:
Obesity can also cause a great stress on the human skeletal system. Since the bones and the skeletal frame have to bear far more body weight, it can be stressed out which causes problems like osteoarthritis. Lower back pain is also caused as an indirect effect of obesity, osteoarthritis and diabetes. Gout may also develop due to accumulation of uric acid in the joints, usually the big toe of the foot. This condition causes a great, unbearable pain.

Respiratory Problems:
Obesity causes the tissues to become soft and the muscle tone to become reduced around the airways, problems can arise in the respiratory system too, the commonest being obstructive sleep apnea. In addition, obesity hypoventilation syndrome is an extended form since the amount of oxygen reaching the lungs decreases. Asthma, another ailment can also occur because of obesity.

Gastrointestinal Problems:
Obesity causes problems like gastro-oesophageal reflux disease in which there is heartburn due to a reflux that is caused by mucosal damage in the oesophagus. Fatty inflammation of the liver is also an outcome. In addition, formation of stones in the gall bladder and hernia can also occur in obese people.

Genitourinary Problems:
Due to obesity, the development and the functioning of the genital organs can be affected to a great extent. Urinary incontinence, chronic renal failure with slow loss of kidney function, hypogonadism (improper functioning of sexual organs in males and females) and erectile dysfunction or impotence, can be caused as a result of obesity.

Psychological Problems:
Obesity causes a lot of psychological problems in patients as they have to face a lot of social stigma due to their appearance. This can lead to depression and low self esteem. Body dysmorphic disorder or too much botheration about body parts also causes a lot of stress and social isolation. In some adverse cases of psychological pressures, people may even commit suicide.

Skin Problems:
Though not really fatal, obesity also causes various skin problems in the patients like stretch marks, Acanthosis (hyper-pigmentation of the skin in folds), Lymphedema or fluid retention in various body parts, including Cellulitis, carbuncle or intertrigo.

What is obesity?

Obesity is the state of being gravely overweight – to a point that affects your health.

Obesity in childhood is linked to many health difficulties and tends to indicate that the child will be obese as an adult. It is very worrying as childhood obesity is increasing at an alarming rate. The number of overweight children worldwide is increasing so fast the National Health Service has been pushed to its limits to cope with the added strain.

Obesity causes:

Obesity and overweight are caused by two simple factors – an unwholesome diet (characteristically too rich in sugar and fats and without an adequate amount of fibre and carbohydrate) and not doing enough exercise to burn off the calories consumed. This allows body fat as well as belly fat to accumulate.

Occasionally there are other factors. For example, in an uncommon genetic condition called Prader -Willi Syndrome there maybe problems with controlling hunger.

The effects of obesity include trouble with the joints and bones (such as slipped femoral epiphysis and bow legs), a state called benign intracranial hypertension that produces headaches and affects vision, hypo-ventilation (leading to drowsiness during the day, snoring and even heart failure), gall bladder disease, poly cystic ovary syndrome, high blood pressure, and high levels of blood fats.

Obesity increases the danger of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. This is usually a disease seen in later life in adults but there is an increasing trend for children in their teens to present with this disease as a result of being obese. There are also marked psychological effects, leading to low self-esteem.

In the UK, around 27 per cent of children are now overweight, and research suggests the main problem is the continual decline in the amount of exercise children take. Many overweight children have overweight parents – it’s often a matter of family lifestyles.

A child’s body mass index (BMI) is calculated using the same process as for adults – weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared. Avoid using adult BMI to determine whether a child is overweight or obese. Specific age-adjusted charts are essential.

A lifestyle that involves little physical exercise and excessive inactivity, particularly television viewing, will cause childhood obesity. There are two things going against kids. One is that they have a plentiful supply of food which often tends to be high in calories and full of fat and sugar; two, a lack of physical exercise.

Children have also experienced an explosion in visual media that provides the stimulation that earlier generations found from physical exercise such as football, athletics or just playing outdoors with other kids.

One major factor in childhood obesity is that many schools have phased out mandatory physical education. This means kids never get told of the importance of physical activities.

Parents must take a more active role by encouraging their children to remain active and telling them why it is so important for health reasons. Activity does not need to be structured, as in sports, but can be something that keeps you exercising and burning calories such as bike riding, walking, swimming or gardening.

Picture in your mind a grave, and standing by that grave is a set of parents mourning the passing of their son or daughter due to obesity. Very sad, and yet it is becoming more common every day. The menace of obesity is striking worldwide. Don’t let it affect you.

As people gain weight at a fast rate, they are actually crossing the threshold between being overweight and being obese. This increases the risk of many diseases. Even though we are generally aware of the health dangers of obesity, we still try to ignore them thinking that weight loss is only about looking good. But for the people who are severely overweight making the commitment to lose weight can become a matter of choosing between life and death.

Obesity is not only a leading health problem, but a serious health hazard that needs to be tackled immediately before it starts creating more serious problems in your life. The increase in weight brings an increased risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer and shorter life expectancy. The risks of obesity are immense. Making people aware of these dangers helps prevent obesity by controlling the basic factors that lead to it. By adopting the required preventive measures, obese people can retain their health and live a long enjoyable life.

Here is an overview of the main dangers of obesity:

*Heart disease and strokes are the main causes of disability among people and can even turn life threatening at times. Obese people are at higher risk of heart failure, heart attack and stroke.

*Obesity can also lead to diabetes. This illness reduces the ability of the body to control the sugar levels in the blood. Diabetes is dangerous as it can damage organs and cause death. Thus, eating foods that help keep the blood sugar levels normal is essential. Otherwise you may end up suffering from diabetes and fail to live a healthy life, as diabetic people have low immunity and develop health problems quickly.

*Obese women are at higher risk of gall bladder cancer, ovarian cancer and breast cancer. Obese men are more likely to develop colorectal and prostate cancer than those males with normal weight. These are the possible dangers that overweight women and men face. Researchers suggest that the presence of more fat in the body results in hormonal imbalances that may lead to cancer. The important thing is that by losing weight, you can reduce your risk of cancer.

*Overweight people exert additional pressure on their knees and lower back joints. This results in the thinning of the cartilage. In turn, these people are at higher risk of suffering from osteoarthritis.

*Obesity may also cause breathing problems. These end up affecting the sleeping pattern of the individual. Overweight people are more likely to suffer from sleep apnea. They might snore heavily and stop breathing for short periods during the night.

*Arteriosclerosis is another danger of obesity. It is a result from the increase in the cholesterol levels in the arterial blood vessels. As the cholesterol builds up, plaque is formed inside the arteries. They become narrower and harder. In this way, the blood flow gets disrupted and forces your heart to pump harder increasing your blood pressure. The heart muscle is affected as well. In turn, you are more likely to suffer from heart failure and a heart attack.

*The problems associated with obesity get worse with time because as you age, your metabolism slows down. You also start to lose one pound of lean muscle each year due to inactivity. The possible dangers of obesity leading from heart diseases to cancer become more serious with time. So, it is better for you to take control over the situation and try to adopt good eating habits and adopt an active lifestyle to stay fit and healthy and cut down your body fat.

*Obesity leads to silent diseases, such as high blood pressure, which may go undiagnosed for a long time. So, it’s always better to stay healthy and fit to enjoy a prosperous, healthy and long life.

It only seems natural to consider the psychological effects of teen obesity and how it is affecting our youth. Not too long ago it would be unheard of to be having this discussion. The child obesity issue worldwide has received so much attention it seems appropriate to consider what is going on in their head. How is their weight issue effecting them emotionally? It’s what we don’t see in our children that is of most concern. We can easily see their day to day routines but what underlining psychological effects of teen obesity don’t we see?

It has been perceived that young children who are obese will grow out of it or they are just carrying “baby fat”. In some cases this is true and they do grow out of it, but what if they don’t. It’s a known fact that kids can be mean and bully. Children who are teased about their weight are more apt to have poor body image, low self-esteem, and symptoms of depression. Everyone wants to have friends but sometimes the obese teen feels isolated and lonely. Their self esteem is low and they use food as their comfort zone, which is usually high in fat, sugar, and calories. The isolation makes them less active so exercise is compromised. Because of peer pressure the psychological effects of teen obesity affects their overall health which can lead to more serious medical problems. The teen years are all about growing up, being more independent, and socialization. Peer pressure in teenagers is a major issue whether they have a weight problem or not , which is why teasing obese teens can be psychologically devastating.

Peer pressure is the hub of the psychological effects of teen obesity. The spin off is problems in school and missing too much school. Obese teens are absent from school more often than non obese teens. Some will miss school or skip classes to avoid ridicule and others due to medical complications associated with being obese. Behavioral and learning problems develop because they feel depressed and socially unaccepted . Obese teens have an equal right to education as non obese teens but the taunting effects them emotionally and it’s easier to avoid than confront. They are missing out on their education because of the psychological effects of teen obesity.

It appears clear that the psychological effects of teen obesity have the potential to be carried into adulthood. Including in some cases anxiety and obsessive compulsive behavior. An alarming number of obese teens grow up to be obese adults, although it doesn’t have to be this way. Once the weight problem is cured and their physical appearance has improved; their self esteem and body image will be restored. We must be careful not to ignore the psychological effects of teen obesity that they may still have bottled up inside.

Triggers To Watch For

Your obese teen has less energy or interests and is hesitant to participate in social relationships or other activities;
Your obese teen appears increasingly sad, lonely, angry or withdrawn.
Your obese teen has few friends.
Your obese teen has thoughts of causing harm to him/herself or others.
Your obese teen is obsessed with eating.
Your obese teen sleeps too much or not enough.
Your obese teen is reluctant to go to school.

There are steps that parents can do to help ease the psychological stress that results from teen obesity. Engage your teen in open dialog about their eating habits . Many times teens over eat because they are depressed. Openly communicating with your obese child about the problem will allow you to work a plan that is attainable. The good news is with proper nutrition, exercise, and a real good diet plan teens can overcome obesity and live a full normal life.

Statistics show that obesity is often related to lower incomes and fewer education. How can we seem sensible of this statement?

As humans, we want basically three conditions to make sure that we’re feeling reasonably well and our needs aren’t substituted with feel-good-food or by overeating.

1. We have to understand what is going on within our own lives

2. We need to ability to shape and influence our own lives

3. We have to be able to believe no matter what around us is sensible and now we have found our devote our families and in society

These three tips would be the first step toward what keeps us healthy, and, ultimately, at a normal weight.

Are these three components often lacking with poorer and less educated people?

Yes, as they no longer believe they can shape anything to their desire due to the lack of funds or the lack of being needed or the sense of not being able to make a difference. Even managers in corporations appear to break up, get sick or end up getting depressions when their creative freedom to shape events is somehow curtailed.

Many people who wound up close to society due to unemployment or poverty rarely feel that they’re needed anymore; they rarely believe they could really make a difference in anybody’s life anymore. Additionally they might have lost the sense of understanding regarding how to change their situations and what their life’s purpose may be, even though as child they, like everybody else, were hopeful that they would look for a place in this life by which they’d have the ability to bring meaning for their along with other people’s lives. Lacking this kind of fulfillment is really as if constantly living with some sort of craving and desire to have something which can’t be satisfied or reached.

And this unfulfilled desire leads straight to overeating?

Especially for anyone who has learned as soon as childhood that problems could be substituted with candy; children who slip or cry get something sweet to alleviate the pain. Especially parents of poorer and lesser educated backgrounds are prime examples of customers who keep buying sweets and other fast foods; they keep buying this stuff even though they actually have hardly any money available. But this audience is obviously extremely susceptible to advertising because they have had so many problems early on in their lives and have learned that they can’t really solve their problems, but rather only satisfy – and substitute – their desire for change and a better life.

So can this be considered a social problem?

Yes, in some ways these people are holding up one before society and show where situations are headed when people no more care for each other; when individuals become labeled and stereotyped and are no longer given the room or the opportunity to make a real difference in theirs and other people’s lives. From here of view, then, being unemployed isn’t so much a problem due to the lack of funds, but it turns into a huge problem due to the insufficient meaning; because it’s possible to no more contribute to society inside a meaningful way.

Is this the reason weight reduction classes on healthy eating don’t work so well?

To determine how you can behave in certain life situations is based one’s life experiences until recently. Those who have found that sweet and fats can help satisfy their desires is promoting a mindset like “If I’m a little fat, exactly what does it not matter?” or “The main thing in my experience is it tastes good.” These attitudes aren’t purely cognitive, (i.e. we’re not always thinking about it), but stem from experience and conditioning. And each experience is distinguished by something that gets under one’s skin; something that is linked having a powerful feeling or emotion. Both components, the emotional and the cognitive link combined, will eventually lead to a conviction that the particular behavior will work for us, even when it’s overeating bad foods.

So lecturing alone won’t help?

Exactly, as this approach won’t reach the emotional components. You can’t change a mindset by convincing people because you only reach the cognitive component; and you will not achieve change by punishing or hugging all of them the time because you only reach the emotional components that way.

What exactly can help?

You need to invite such people to encourage and inspire a new and different knowledge about themselves. For example, moving their bodies to enable them to feel and obtain in touch and experience their very own bodies again; or in relationships with others, where they realize that they can actually talk with others without feeling bad or ashamed and where they feel that they’ll talk about problems and solutions too. And, of course, in relationship to their role in this world and in society, where they understand that they could partake in shaping it and making a difference. Of these steps to work, nutritional counseling alone is certainly not enough. Often it it takes the aid of a psychotherapists or a life coach.

Some might ask: Why won’t big people achieve this by themselves? They only need to get their act together.

This is the talk of the educated middle-class, which itself had enough opportunity to take responsibility for their own lives and have thus learned that they can allow it to be. But for those people who are are utilized to not being able to flourish in anything and people who didn’t have any positive experience in changing themselves and those who were ridiculed at their whole life – just how can they possibly come with an connection with taking on self-responsibility? Of these people the cognitive and emotional reasoning is so strongly developed and intertwined that penetrating and letting go of the substitute behavior of overeating is rather difficult.

So we need a new approach towards helping people lose weight?

What we should need is another relationship culture in your own home, in school, at work and in our communities. If our living together becomes so empowered that everyone will find their devote society and recognizes themselves as valuable to other people, we wouldn’t have numerous obesity problems. I’m firmly convinced of this.

Ok let’s get right down to the nitty gritties of weight reduction. Let’s move on the beginning, the very best starting point!: as Julie Andrews would sing.

Are you aware that obesity is the foremost public health problem of the 21st century. The best! It causes a variety of long-term health conditions, an inability to work so therefore increasing poverty and increases the burden on taxpayers to pay for those people who are not able to purchase themselves. Additionally, it reduces the length of one’s life by a typical quantity of nine years. Nine years! That is a good deal of your time that could be spent enjoying life with family, friends, seeing the planet etc. For parents particularly, this is also affecting our kids. Surely we need to take control of this aspect of our way of life.

Now I recognize that some of you readers possess a Bmi of 19.5 – 24.5kg/m2 and so you may look on with self-righteous pity in the rest of us poor folk that struggle with our weight. I guess you have a to that (not that I have to as if you for this), unless you are among those that can eat anything you like and not see any change in unwanted weight, If you are – beware! It might yet meet up with you.

How common is it?

An organisation called Worldwatch did some investigation recently and located that more than 1.9 billion people worldwide were overweight. They also figured out that about 75% of adults in rich countries (like ours!) were overweight or obese. I have to repeat that for emphasis – Seventy-five PERCENT! 3 out of every 4 people! That is astounding really. We defeat other epidemics like smallpox after which gain brand new ones, it would seem.

In the united kingdom, the percentage of ladies who are obese has more than doubled within the time from 1980 – 1997. In 2009, almost a quarter of adults in the UK were obese along with a third of all women were overweight. 44% in men were overweight as well so they seem to even be worse off than we women are. I am talking about, being male is recognized as a risk factor in some diseases for example heart disease without adding an excess of fat in to the mix.

What in our children? 30% of kids aged between two and fifteen are overweight. 10% of those in reception year were obese! That is terrible! What chance do these littles have if they are already OBESE! Gosh we parents really need to pay much more focus on what we are exposing our children too. I definitely need this reminder and so i KNOW I’m not even close to perfect.

In the US, 33.8% of adults were obese in 2008 while a whopping 68% fell inside the overweight and obese category! It’s shocking really. The better off a nation is, the worse their eating habits tend to be.

Individuals are getting fatter in most corners around the globe. The planet Health Organization predicts there will be 2.3 billion overweight adults and also over 700 million obese adults on the planet through the year 2015. This epidemic is a modern day disaster. Fifty years ago, statistical data wasn’t kept relating to this deadly disease. Most everyone identifies the burgeoning worldwide junk food industry because the number one culprit of this crisis. However true, sedentary professions, stressful jobs, lack of exercise and the convenience of automobiles also bring about the significant problem. Most annoying are the recent trends and current statistics showing how obesity has rampantly spread to the children. Obesity experts are alarmed by studies suggesting obesity runs in families suggesting a potential genetic link between individuals and obesity.

Bear in mind; obesity in families can also be attributed to members of the family sharing common dietary and lifestyle habits as well as similar attitudes toward exercise and physical regimens. Parents have a strong influence within the children they raise. They directly affect the shopping habits of their kids as well as their individual hygiene and self esteem. Recent trends show that obese children and adolescents frequently develop to become obese adults. This trait is one we should not spread to the next generation.

Our environment also affects the outrageous obesity rate. Would you trust me if I told you ac can bring about obesity? Second to lack of sleep, cooled air along with a comfortable temperature encourages an individual to consume more food. Research has shown that persons placed in inclement environments tend to eat a smaller amount. Graphical data points between obesity rate and air conditioning usage illustrates the correlation between your spread of ac across the world and the rise of obesity. Sleep doctors hypothesize, deficiencies in sleep severely jolts your body’s metabolic system, expending greater amounts of instant energy.

University of Chicago researcher Esra Tasali notes that waistlines in modern societies started to expand as people started to sleep less. Nowadays, the ‘sleep deficit’ is 2 hours per night compared with 4 decades ago. Over time society has become educated making increasingly conscious of the addictive dangers of smoking, taking drugs and alcohol consumption. Recent studies confirm those who give up any one of the aforementioned addictions will frequently gain weight immediately afterward. Legal and illicit drugs produce chemical stimulation to the body triggering an addictive effect. Such stimulation may also block unpleasant feelings and people struggling with addictive eating disorders use chemical stimulation to curb unbearable urges of hunger. The fastest method to defeat any disorder is to recognize the addiction and get the appropriate help.

Through a mixture of proprietary products, mental and nutritional counseling my methodology may aid rapid fat loss, amplifies lean muscle mass, improves energy and increases overall metabolic rate. Whatever caused your weight gain, something is perfect for sure. It’s time to stop the spiraling obesity roller coaster ride you are on and reclaim your life. A shorter life span and never living your lifetime to its fullest isn’t acceptable! You will find the power inside you, “Training from the body starts with the mind!” I’ve placed the reality on the table and only you hold the key to manage your destiny. You can stop dieting and end your weight loss struggles forever.

One of the biggest gifts we possess as humans may be the capacity to choose, and that we use it recklessly. We choose all sorts of things which are horrible for all of us. This has never been truer than when it comes to our daily nutrition choices. As Americans we have use of the very best foods on the planet, however we also have access to the worst. This is where we take the turn to reckless. Rather than making healthy decisions, we make a myriad of excuses why it’s easier and cheaper to just go thru the drive-thru and grab a happy meal. That ought to be renamed the unhappy meal for that havoc it wreaks on our bodies, but that’s for any different conversation.

Based on obesity rate in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) we are the unhealthiest country in the World!

This really is extremely sad to me. When I am in public, sometime I simply sit and observe the crowds of people. I’ve determined according to my purely visual study, that 80 percent of the people are overweight. I am not saying by any means that everybody needs to be in excellent shape and then run a 4 minute mile. What I am saying is the fact that like a society we are unmanageable. We are growing in an excessive rate.

We will successful bankrupt on healthcare system by eating ourselves to death!

Here are some statistics to wrap you head around. The next statistics are from the middle for Disease Control (CDC).

33.8% (1/3) of adults in the united states are obese (for details on how the CDC defines obese visit the website at http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/defining.html)

17% (12.5 Million) children and adolescents (age 2-19) are obese.

These numbers don’t range from the millions that are overweight and borderline obese. As a result of these staggering numbers the disease of diabetes reaches an all-time high. The American Diabetes Association states that 25.8 million children and adults in the united states have diabetes. They estimate the cost of diabetes on the healthcare system to become $174 Billion Dollars (this amount of money was based on 2007 statistics). Are you able to imagine what the 2011/2012 cost is going to be? $250 Billion? Maybe more?

The corn industry as well as their paid advertisers, the American Dietetics Association, would really like individuals to believe that high-fructose corn syrup, or HFCS is natural and is as with every other type of fructose. This may not be true.

Corn syrup is made from a grain and not a fruit. Most natural, non-HFCS fructose consumed originates from fruit. It’s irresponsible to consider a chemically-altered grain sugar would act exactly the same way as a natural fruit sugar would in the body. HFCS is present in an alarming number of junk foods. It is very difficult to get a food label that doesn’t contain HFCS. The prevalence of HFCS in processed foods is dismaying and is greatly accountable for the prevalence of diabetes, food allergies, and metabolic disorders worldwide.

Despite the fact that HFCS is found in virtually every processed food (and corn exists in other forms within the rest), the most common delivery method for HFCS continues to be as a liquid. This is detrimental to the body since the sugar is not being consumed along with fiber, so it is free of charge to be absorbed immediately by the body. HFCS also doesn’t stimulate insulin, leptin, or grehlin in your body. Low insulin response leads to diabetes. Leptin and grehlin work together to signal towards the body that it has already established enough to eat. Leptin acts on receptors in the brain to suppress appetite. HFCS suppresses leptin production for many hours after consumption, leaving the customer feeling voracious and unable to obtain satiety. HFCS also affects grehlin. Grehlin is really a hormone produced in the stomach that signals fullness whenever a person has consumed enough food. Because HFCS inhibits both hormones, a consumer of HFCS is left feeling extremely hungry, but with no mechanism to allow them know they have eaten enough food. It’s not tough to see how this could result in obesity.

It’s misleading to compare HFCS to sugar, or sucrose, but that is what proponents of HFCS want the general public to believe. They’re lobbying for the ability to label HFCS as “corn sugar”, a move having a danger of misleading the general public into thinking they are consuming sucrose rather than HFCS. Fructose converts to fat more than any other kind of sugar. Researchers from Loyola University have also found that preadipose cells (precursors of adult fat cells) in youngsters that were exposed to HFCS aged faster and than those subjected to glucose. Essentially, they matured into fatter fat cells than those subjected to regular sugar. They were also more resistant to insulin.

Corn Is Omnipresent In Processed Foods

Corn is not only overly-present in junk foods with the overuse of HFCS. It is contained in corn oil, corn starch, modified food starch, vegetable oil, and thousands of other additives. Even if an individual would avoid grains and junk foods, they would have to change the way they buy their meats; most beef cattle are fed diets full of corn. “Grain-fed” beef isn’t the desirable label the consumer is made to believe it’s.

HFCS has led to obesity, diabetes, kidney disease, osteoporosis, and hypoglycemia, but what’s the result of the sweeping prevalence of corn in the western diet? The overuse associated with a one item inside a diet always leads to nutrient deficiencies, allergies, and food sensitivities. When corn was introduced into the American diet, it led to pellagra, anemia, and other deficiencies. Corn isn’t a complete food. It is deficient in at least two amino acids. HFCS, like other processed sugars, is without all nutrients except for carbohydrates. And its consumption is high. HFCS is the number one supply of calories in the United States. This is interesting, given that fats have 250% more calories compared to carbohydrates.

A great many people are likely to be allergic to corn and not even know it. Allergic reactions aren’t always anaphylactic. They can contained in digestive difficulties, inflammation and bloating (increasing the “fat” appearance), intense longing for the allergen, rashes, eczema, sleep disorders, mood disorders, leaky gut syndrome, and a host of other symptoms. A great way to determine whether one is allergic is to cut the allergen out of the diet for at least fourteen days after which introduce it into the diet and monitor the symptoms because they present. To chop corn out of the diet would mean eating a diet of strictly whole-foods and grass-fed meats, non-vegetarian eggs, and grass-fed dairy. It is only as hard to remove corn in the diet as it is to remove gluten. It requires a whole changes in lifestyle.

The interest in HFCS and corn products can also be adding to farming practices which are bad for environmental surroundings. Corn is grown inside a monoculture, which means there are many acres in the usa alone focused on growing only one thing. This really is against nature’s inclination to balance through diversity. To grow corn by doing this, it is necessary to use pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and frequently irrigation. This affects the environment, the economy, and also the lives of farmers with techniques which are getting harder and harder to reverse the longer they are practiced. Most corn is also genetically modified. GMO goods are not labeled and they are so new there is no telling the extent of their harm on people and the environment.
